I am a computational scientist and software architect focused on designing robust, extensible systems for technically demanding domains. My engineering foundations were shaped by scientific computing and high-performance computing, and my work has since expanded across cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, knowledge representation, and biological data systems.

My academic training is in aerospace engineering and computational science, culminating in a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science. I subsequently moved into research software development and high-performance computing in the UK, working at the intersection of numerical simulation, software engineering, and computational infrastructure. These experiences shaped my approach to engineering: rigorous abstractions, computational efficiency, and systems that can evolve without sacrificing reliability.

Since then, my work has taken me across a range of specialized domains, from cybersecurity software built around AI models and knowledge graphs to biological data platforms for computational analysis. I have also been developing general-purpose business software and application infrastructure, including an extensible ERP platform built around metadata-driven application generation.

I am particularly interested in the architecture of software itself: how to establish strong abstractions, maintain clear boundaries between components, and design systems that remain robust as their requirements evolve. I favour strict type safety, defensive programming, and modular abstractions that can be composed, extended, and reused without compromising the integrity of the underlying system.

I enjoy sharing what I learn with others. For several years, I wrote at flowphysics.com, primarily about fluid dynamics, scientific computing, and high-performance computing. As my work gradually expanded into other technical domains, I wrote there less frequently. I hope to make this website my new home for writing - a place to share what I learn, build, and explore across the different areas of my work.
